• Perl 6: Implemented multi-platform IO::Path in the Rakudo compiler. Authored several modules.

Nonprofit Activities

Board of Directors Chair, Wiki Spot, 2008-2010

A founding member of the board, I was responsible for securing 501(c)3 nonprofit status.
I also beta-tested our wiki software and handled concerns of the online community.
Wiki Spot received a $350,000 grant from the Knight News Foundation in June 2010.

Legislative Chair, National Association of Graduate and Professional Students, 2008.

Responsibilities included writing a legislative agenda and organizing two lobby trips to D.C.

External Chair, UC Davis Graduate Student Association, 2007-2008.

Advocacy for student issues both on and off campus.

Personal Interests

I enjoy playing designer board games and tabletop roleplaying games. I'm a fan of Japanese animation, and I write comedy fanfiction in my spare time. I'm currrently learning to play the ukulele.
